Jastini Buckner - Owner & Executive Chef 

  I’m a southern girl born & raised in the beautiful city of Memphis, TN. I have a passion for creating and I enjoy preparing exquisite dishes.

 I have been cooking since I was a little girl. I started off baking homemade cakes for friends in my neighborhood to gradually creating dishes & recipes. I was in my late teens when I discovered my skill for cooking. I remember preparing Sunday dinner for some friends and they were convinced somebody’s grandmother had been in the kitchen. It was then that I accepted my natural born gift. I had a vision so clear that it lead me to culinary school in 2012.

A year later, I graduated with a diploma from Lecole Culinaire. I immediately began working in the culinary industry. However, working made me very eager to learn more about the business side of the industry. Young & hungry, I enrolled back into culinary school with a plan and many goals for the future. 
May 2016, I graduated with honors holding an Associates degree in Culinary & Restaurant Management to my name. Although I picked up two great career jobs, I was determined to start my own business.

Gorjas Creations CO was founded July 2018; that is when I resigned from my very last job.

In 2019, I made things official by becoming a legitimate business owner of Shelby County.

My mission is not only to provide you with great tasting food but offer efficient and friendly service. Customer satisfaction is paramount and I hope to be a top chef choice for everyone. With my experience and knowledge, I will provide top tier services and dishes. All while working with the highest quality health conscious ingredients. My team & I look forward to serving you.
